Jesus told two parables of discovery in the Gospel of Matthew chapter 13. In the "Parable of the Hidden Treasure" (13:44) Jesus talked about a farmer who unexpectedly stumbled upon a buried treasure hidden in a field. When the farmer made this discovery, Jesus said that the farmer then did everything he could to take full possession of it. And in the parable of the "Pearl of Great Price" (13:45-46) Jesus talked about a merchant who scoured the earth looking for the greatest pearl of them all, and when he found it, just like that farmer in the previous story, the merchant was willing to give all that he had to get it.

We don't know if you are the farmer or the merchant. Perhaps you've just stumbled upon this site accidentally like that farmer who found that treasure in his field. Or maybe you got here deliberately, through a long process of careful searching like that merchant who was in search of the pearl of great price. Either way, we're glad you're here and hope that you will find what you're looking for in who we are and what we are about.

Now, please understand that we here at Northway Christian Church don't think of ourselves as that treasure or that pearl. But we here at Northway Christian Church do believe that we know what that treasure and that pearl is. It's Jesus Christ, and knowing Him and making Him known is what we're all about.
