Imagine a quiet place where one can slow down, listen intently, think, pray, create, and celebrate. Our Godly Play Sunday School class provides this type of experience, using a worship-style setting and focusing on storytelling.

As children come through the door, they enter a sacred place where, hopefully, they encounter God while hearing the Bible stories/parables and seeing the unique story figures and props that highlight each. Afterwards, time is allowed to "wonder" about, and to reflect on (silently or spoken), these stories. Then, children can use different art mediums to express their individual ideas and feelings. We conclude our class time with lighting the Christ candle, reading the Bible verse, sharing prayers, enjoying a feast (snack), and receiving a special goodbye blessing. Attention is given in all areas to using the language of worship.

Godly Play is for children ages 3-5 years (non- Kindergarten)
