Welcome Class
Every Sunday morning during the Church School hour (9:40 - 10:40 am) at Northway Christian Church there is a session of "The Welcome Class."
The Welcome Class is a weekly conversation with the Senior Minister on a vital topic of the Christian faith. Twice a year (spring and fall) we cover "Basic Christianity" in twelve consecutive weeks. The schedule of subjects covered is:
| Week 1 | Jesus Christ |
| Week 2 | God |
| Week 3 | Prayer |
| Week 5 | The Bible: Content |
| Week 6 | The Bible: Authority |
| Week 7 | Baptism and the Lord's Supper |
| Week 8 | The Holy Spirit |
| Week 9 | The Church |
| Week 10 | A Family Tree of Churches |
| Week 11 | The Characteristic Beliefs of Disciples |
| Week 12 | Church Membership: Why Bother? |
This unit is usually taught in the 12 weeks after Easter and
in the 12 weeks before Christmas.
It's always followed by a three week series called "The Next
Step."
